Cancellation Policy

• A 50% deposit of the total rental amount is required to secure and confirm any booking.
• This deposit is non-refundable under all circumstances, including cancellation, change of plans, or Force Majeure Events (see Section 5).
• The remaining 50% balance is due in full no later than 14 days prior to check-in.
• Bookings made within 14 days of arrival require full payment at the time of booking.

Once a booking is confirmed with a deposit, the following tiers apply if you need to cancel:

• 61 days or more before check-in — 50% deposit only. Any additional payments already made toward the balance will be refunded.
• 30–60 days before check-in — 50% deposit plus 50% of the remaining balance. If the balance has not yet been paid, this amount becomes due as a cancellation fee.
• 29 days or fewer before check-in (or after the final balance due date) — 100% of the total rental amount. No refund is available.
• No-show or early departure — No refund of any portion of the rental amount, regardless of the reason.

All cancellations must be submitted in writing to info@katablanca.com. The effective cancellation date is the date we receive your written notice, not the date you intend to travel.

At our discretion, and depending on availability, we may offer to apply payments already made toward a future stay within 12 months of the original travel dates, in lieu of the applicable cancellation fees above. This is not guaranteed and is considered on a case-by-case basis.

KATABLANCA Villa is a Caribbean beachfront property, and travel to the region can occasionally be affected by tropical weather. If a named hurricane or tropical storm is under an official warning from the National Meteorological Service of Jamaica and directly affects Saint Ann Parish during your confirmed travel dates, we will work in good faith to reschedule your stay to alternative available dates within 12 months, subject to seasonal rate differences. Refunds in such circumstances are at our discretion and are not guaranteed under this Policy.

Because cancellation fees apply even in circumstances beyond your control (illness, flight cancellations, family emergencies, or weather), we strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance that covers trip cancellation and interruption at the time of booking.

Requests to change travel dates on a confirmed booking are treated as a new booking request and are subject to availability and the prevailing rate for the new dates. If the requested new dates cannot be accommodated, standard cancellation terms above will apply.
